The ninth step to build a playhouse is to install ceiling joists and rafters as per playhouse plans. Another option is pre-manufactured wood roof trusses. If you are using rafters instead of pre-manufactured wood trusses you will need to add a girder post to each rafter in the center to give it support. The tenth step to build a playhouse is to sheath the roof with plywood and decide upon a roof covering. Most plans will call for asphalt shingles or wood shingles but its up to you. Dont forget to apply felt before laying the shingles on the roof.
Some people like to move the playhouse in and out so that their kids can enjoy it the whole year round. If you have the same idea then you will also need to make sure that the playhouse is of the right size so that it can nicely fit into your living space. Height Of Playhouse Different playhouses have different heights. Some can barely fit a toddler while a few others can take in an adult with not much of a problem. Therefore consider the height of the outdoor playhouse before buying. If a playhouse has a low roof your kids might be bumping their heads against the doorway after barely a year.
Your children will spend hours enjoying their Wood Pennifield cottage playhouse. This is a playhouse that is realistic yet has a whimsy quality about it. This miniature house comes complete with a door sized for your children and shutter framed windows that actually work. This is a playhouse which will encourage your childrens imaginations to grow. Underneath each window is a flower box. Not only will flowers accentuate your childrens playhouse but they can also be used to teach your children responsibility. You can put your children in charge of planting their flowers and watering them.
