The third step to build a playhouse is creating a foundation. What type of foundation you use concrete slab pier wood foundation or other depends upon the playhouse plans you have chosen. The playhouse plans should explain the proper foundation for the playhouse but you will need to take into account for local ordinances and homeowner associations rules. Always check with your local city code officials before building anything. The fourth step to build a playhouse is to create the sub-floor. Usually joists 16 inches on center covered by plywood flooring is the standard; nothing extravagant but functional and safe.
The eighth step to build a playhouse is to decide on the type of roof. Your playhouse plans should recommend the best type. Just follow the directions and youll be okay. Most common types of roofs are hip or gable. The easiest being a gable since it looks like a triangle and it allows for rain and snow to drain off the roof. The hip roof is a little more complicated because it has more angles with all sides sloping down to meet the walls. It allows for snow and rain to drain easily as well however it provides more overhang if thats what you are looking for.
It is not something that would be an eyesore. Most playhouses are incredibly realistic which and you would be giving your children their own little home. They will delight in keeping house just like their parents do. Children love the outdoors and in a world where children can become consumed by video games and TV having a playhouse will ensure that your children are spending hours outside. It is a playhouse which is incredibly durable built so that it will not outgrow your children. It is incredibly safe and built to endure most weather. When your children outgrow their playhouse it can be used as a storage shed for your garden tools or lawn equipment.
